Affordable, Effective and Convenient Driving Lessons
About Us
The Professional Driver Trainers Association SA Inc. (PDTA of SA) was formed in June 1997 by former members of the ADTA who wished to provide Driving Instructors in this state with an affordable alternative to that what was currently on offer.
The board/committee are qualified Driving Instructors who give their time freely to run the Association, meeting monthly to discuss issues relating to our industry. An Annual General Meeting is held once a year and all financial members are encouraged to attend when officers are elected or re-elected to the board. General Meetings are arranged three or four times a year when members can discuss and raise issues and also debate proposed changes affecting our industry by the relevant Government Departments.
Newsletters are sent to all members (as required) during the year, a no frills informative newsletter giving information on the developments in the industry which affect our livelihood.
Currently we have many members who benefit from our reasonable Membership Fee, Public Liability and Personal Indemnity Insurance rates, which are now negotiated locally on our members behalf. You can deal direct with the PDTA of SA Insurance committee member (NOT online using the internet) and submit premiums direct to the PDTA of SA in S.A.
Our AIM is not to be the largest association in the state but an association with Instructors of high morals and who comply with a strict code of Ethics.
Current Instructors and those new to the industry should compare our membership rates, and insurance premiums. You will be surprised at our competitive rates. (Ref. Page3)
Membership runs from 1st August until the 31st July each year and fees and dues need to be paid at least 7-10 days prior to the end of July so that the Driver Standards Unit Transport S.A. can be advised that the Accredited and Authorised Instructors are covered by PI and PL insurance. NOTE: Final Training Session Log Book Task 30 and VORT Tests cannot be undertaken until this process has taken place.
